40Fied (pronounced "Fortified") is an American tactical gear and emergency preparedness brand based in Burbank, California, founded in 2024. The company produces the Fortified Solar Backpack line — a range of solar-powered everyday carry backpacks featuring integrated flexible solar panels, RFID-blocking Faraday cage pockets, and optional NIJ Level 3A ballistic protection panels tested by Oregon Ballistics Laboratories (OBL).

40Fied products are sold exclusively through the brand's official website at 40fied.shop and ship to the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Australia, Mexico, and the Caribbean. The brand targets emergency preparedness enthusiasts, urban commuters, college students, and security professionals.

The 40Fied product lineup includes six SKUs across two categories:

  • Fortified Solar Backpacks — available in Business (Medium, 19L) and Everyday (Large, 23L) models featuring an integrated 10–15 Watt water-resistant flexible solar panel, USB charging port, RFID-blocking pocket, and padded laptop compartment. Available in 6 colors. Air travel approved.
  • Fortified BULLETPROOF Backpacks — available in Business (Medium, 19L) and Everyday (Large, 23L) models. Identical to the Solar models with the addition of an OBL-tested NIJ Level 3A ballistic panel sleeve, rated to stop handgun rounds up to .44 Magnum. The ballistic panel is removable and fully concealed within the bag's back panel.
  • 21 Watt Portable Foldable Solar Panel — a compact foldable solar panel with built-in USB-C charging port for off-grid device charging.
  • UGREEN Nexode 25,000mAh Power Bank — a 200W output power bank with TFT smart display, compatible with all 40Fied solar backpacks for a complete off-grid charging system.

Technology

40Fied backpacks integrate flexible monocrystalline solar panels directly into the exterior of the bag. The panels charge devices or a connected power bank passively while the bag is being carried. All models include a Faraday cage RFID-blocking pocket that prevents wireless scanning of credit cards and passports. The bulletproof models include a ballistic panel sleeve in the back panel, tested by Oregon Ballistics Laboratories to NIJ Level 3A standards — the highest level of soft armor protection, rated to stop 9mm, .40 S&W, .45 ACP, .357 Magnum, and .44 Magnum handgun rounds.

Company

40Fied is a limited liability company. The company operates its e-commerce store on the Shopify platform. Current products are available on a pre-order basis with an estimated fulfillment window of 8–10 weeks from order date. The brand's social media presence is maintained on Instagram at @40fiedshop and TikTok at @40fiedshop.
